There are moments when work, community, and purpose intersect in a way that feels especially meaningful. This spotlight is one of those moments.
At Modern Social, I believe in using our platform not only to support businesses and brands, but also to uplift causes that make a real difference. That’s why I’m proud to highlight a fundraiser supporting Special Olympics Maryland through the Super Plunge — an initiative rooted in inclusion, courage, and community impact.
What Is the Super Plunge Fundraiser?
The 2026 Super Plunge fundraiser is a fundraising challenge connected to Maryland’s well-known Polar Bear Plunge. Participants commit to raising significant funds in support of Special Olympics Maryland, while taking on the physical challenge of plunging into icy waters to raise awareness and nonprofit support for the organization’s mission.
The 2026 Super Plunge will take place on January 23–24, 2026 at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, where dedicated participants commit to raising funds and plunging to support Special Olympics Maryland. Learn more about the event details and schedule on the

While the plunge itself may only last a moment, the impact of the funds raised extends far beyond that day.
Why Supporting Special Olympics Maryland Matters
Special Olympics Maryland provides year-round sports training, competition, and leadership opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities — all at no cost to the athletes and their families. These programs foster confidence, inclusion, and a sense of belonging that goes well beyond athletics.
